Connect with Nature because it benefits both our physical wellbeing and mental health; doing something green and sustainable for our environment; appreciate the beauty and wonder of our natural world; learning new things and discovering new interests; meeting like-minded people and having loads of fun; and of course, to breath some fresh Cornish air.​
Aims of Connect with Nature:
● To raise awareness and advocate on "Sustainable Development Goals number 3", which is "Good Health and Wellbeing".
● To encourage people to connect with nature because it benefits both our physical wellbeing and mental health.
● To raise awareness on the importance of wildlife.
● To do something green and sustainable for our environment.
● To appreciate the beauty and wonder of our natural world.
● To meet like-minded people with the same passion and interest for nature and wildlife.
Projects of Connect with Nature:
1) Bird-watching Fieldtrips

2) Butterfly-watching Fieldtrips

Wildlife Matters"
​Events are Free, it is fully-funded by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls. Everyone is welcome to attend. Booking is essential. To book, please contact Rowena via email: [email protected]. 
 
Rowena brings coffee, tea, biscuits and cakes. You are welcome to join us after the event for a cuppa and a slice of cake or just to have a chat.
 
Please check our website and social media prior to the event in case of cancellation due to weather conditions or change of date and time. Please wear suitable clothing and shoes. Bring binoculars; pen and paper to list the wildlife you see; something to sit on (optional); and sunscreen / sunblock in the summer. ​No dogs please.

Chris Jones is the owner of Woodland Valley Farm, home of the Cornwall Beaver Project. Chris is the Restoration Director of Beaver Trust. Chris is on the Ladock Parish Council and the Chairman of Transition Ladock and Grampound Road. 

Woodland Valley Farm is a Cornish organic farm in Ladock and the home of the Cornwall Beaver Project. Woodland Valley Farm have been featured on several newspapers, magazines and TV shows nationwide.

Woodland Valley Farm is the Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2020 Winner on Environmental Growth Category.

Rowena is the Founder of Ladock Parish Wildlife Group; Trustee and Founder Member of Cornwall Butterfly and Moth Society; and Trustee and Publicity Officer of Cornwall Bird Watching and Preservation Society or Cornwall Birds. Rowena is a Volunteer Chough Watcher for RSPB and National Trust. Rowena is a volunteer for Three Bays Wildlife Group doing Butterfly Transect in Lower Portmellon Valley and The Lost Gardens of Heligan; and Seaquest Survey in Dodman Point. Rowena is the Website and Social Media Administrator of Ladock Women's Institute; and Vice President of Soroptimist International of St Austell and District.

Rowena loves nature and wildlife; bird-watching, butterfly-watching, and rock-pooling. Rowena loves walking on the beach, coastal cliffs, woodlands, gardens, and others. Rowena loves writing and reading.

Rowena is the Author and Photographer of "Paloresow Kernewek, The Cornish Choughs on the North Cornwall Coast" published in 2013. She am currently working on her next book.
