Rowena came to Cornwall to live in 2009 and married Rob Nicholls. In that short span of time, as she says, “I've already seen almost every corner of the spectacular and picturesque countryside of Cornwall which I have come to love, especially its diverse nature and wildlife. I go walking as much as I can and that's what got me into photography. I am not a professional photographer; I am just a nature and wildlife enthusiast. I just want to capture the beauty and wonder of what I see through my lens.”
Rowena loves birdwatching and butterfly-watching. She loves taking photographs of the Cornish Choughs and Butterflies in Cornwall. She also loves taking photographs of scenery, sunset, food and others...
Rowena is the "Author and Photographer" of "Paloresow Kernewek, The Cornish Choughs on the North Cornwall Coast" published in 2013. She is currently working on her next one, "Paloresow Kernewek, The Cornish Choughs on the Roseland Peninsula".
Rowena have been very lucky on the 23rd May 2016, to be the first one to have seen and photographed the "Bearded Vulture", also known as the LAMMERGEIER or OSSIFRAGE in Cornwall. The bird is "Cornwall's First" as well as "UK's First". Very lucky indeed.
