Connect with Nature because it benefits both our physical wellbeing and mental health.
We are a friendly group of nature and wildlife enthusiasts, of all ages, from all backgrounds, interested in bird-watching, butterfly-watching, learning new things, discovering new interests, meeting like-minded people, and having loads of fun.

Aims of Connect with Nature:
● To encourage the community to connect with nature because it benefits both our physical wellbeing and mental health.
● To appreciate the beauty and wonder of our natural world.
● To learn new things and discover new interests.
● To meet like-minded people with the same passion and interest for nature and wildlife.
● To raise awareness and advocate on "Sustainable Development Goals number 3", which is "Good Health and Wellbeing".

Connect with Nature is fully-funded by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, founder and chair. Connect with Nature has never applied or received any funding or grant. All events are totally FREE of charge. Everyone is welcome to attend our events and activities. Booking is essential. Booking in advance is highly recommended from Wednesday to Friday only. To book, please contact Rowena via email: [email protected].
Rowena brings refreshments. You are welcome to join us after the event for a cuppa or just to have a chat. Please bring your own mug / cup.
Please check our website and social media prior to the event in case of cancellation due to weather conditions or change of date and time.
Important Information:
● Please wear suitable clothing and shoes.
● Bring Binoculars or Scope.
● Bring camera if you have one.
● Bring pen and paper to list the wildlife you see.
● Bring something to sit on (optional).
● Bring sunscreen or sunblock in the summer.
● Bring water to keep you hydrated.
● Slow pace and gentle walking.
● Toilet facilities available at Mevagissey Harbour and Towan Head, Newquay.
● No toilet facilities at Ruan Lanihorne and Penrice Woods.
● Do not leave any rubbish behind. Kindly put your disposable cups, wrappers, tissue, and others in the bin or take it home with you.
● Please arrive on TIME.
● Lastly, enjoy and have loads of fun.
