I was born in the Philippines to Leon and Angelita, both retired government educators. I finished a Bachelor’s Degree in "Doctor of Dental Medicine" at the Manila Central University. I have a brother Russel, finished a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a sister Rachel, finished a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioural Science. I have two smart and adorable nephew, Gabriel Angelo and Miguel Angelo. I am married to the great one, Rob Nicholls.
I came to Cornwall to live in 2009. In that short span of time, “I have already seen almost every corner of the spectacular and picturesque countryside of Cornwall which I have come to love, especially its diverse nature and wildlife. I go walking as much as I can and that is what got me into photography. I am not a professional photographer; I am just a nature and wildlife enthusiast. I just want to capture the beauty and wonder of what I see through my lens.”
I am a "Sustainable Development Goals number 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing) Advocate". I have been raising awareness through “Connect with Nature” because it benefits both our mental health and physical wellbeing. I organise and lead Bird-watching Fieldtrips, Butterfly Fieldtrips, Moth Nights, Fungi Walks, Rock-pooling, Beach Cleans and Litter-pickings, and others. I giveaway Butterfly Education Kits to various schools in Cornwall every year. I do Bird and Butterfly Recording and Monitoring at Woodland Valley Farm. I do Butterfly Recording and Monitoring at Trewithen Gardens and Lanjeth Nursery and Water Gardens. I give Talks and Presentations on “A Decade of Chough Watching” and “Butterflies in Cornwall” to various group and organisations.
I am a “Stem Ambassador” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). I have been raising awareness on the importance of "Education". My parents are both teachers, so I grow up knowing the importance of education, going to university, and getting a degree and finishing it. Education enables us to develop our skills and abilities; helps us reach our goals and aspirations in life; achieve our dreams; and enhance our knowledge. Every year, I giveaway "Butterfly Education Kits" to various primary schools in Cornwall to raise awareness on the importance of butterflies in our ecosystem and their fascinating life cycle.
I am a "Wildlife Advocate". I have been raising awareness on the importance of wildlife through "Wildlife Matters".
I have been an RSPB volunteer since 2012. I am a volunteer Chough Watcher (nest site monitoring and protection) on the North Cornwall Coast. I have been the RSPB Kernow Local Group Leader since 1 September 2025.
I have been a National Trust volunteer since 2016. I am a volunteer Chough Watcher (nest site monitoring and protection) in West Cornwall and Mid-Cornwall. I am a volunteer Wildlife Recorder; I do the Butterfly Transect at Godolphin.
I have been a Cornwall Bird Watching and Preservation Society (CBWPS) volunteer since 2023. I am the Publicity Officer of the organisation. I manage the Social Media (Facebook Page, Facebook Group, Instagram, Blue Sky, and Twitter X). I organise and lead Birdwatching Fieldtrips.
I have been a Three Bays Wildlife Group Volunteer since 2019. I do the Seaquest Survey at Dodman Point. I do the Butterfly Transect at Lower Portmellon Valley and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. I organise and lead Birdwatching Fieldtrips.
I was a Committee Member and Media and Communication Sub-Committee of Campaign to Protect Rural England, Cornwall Branch (CPRE Cornwall) from 2018 to 2023. I managed the Social Media (Facebook Page, Facebook Group, Instagram, and Twitter X). I organised and led Nature and Wildlife Fieldtrips.
I have been a member of Ladock Women’s Institute since 2019. I have been a Committee Member since 2022. I set-up, designed, and manage the Website and Social Media (Facebook Page and Instagram).
I have been a member of Soroptimist International St Austell and District since 2019. I was the Vice President from 2023 to 2024, Membership Officer from 2024 to 2025, Communication Officer from 2024 to 2025, and Chair of Membership, Communications and Marketing from 2024 to 2025. I managed the Website and Social Media (Facebook Page and Instagram).
I am the Author and Photographer of "Paloresow Kernewek, The Cornish Choughs on the North Cornwall Coast" published in 2013. I am currently working on my next book.
I love inspiring people and making a difference in the life of others through my work and advocacy.
