 Marsh Fritillary Euphydryas aurinia, is one of the rare butterflies in the UK and it's also my favourite butterfly. The caterpillar foodplant is Devil’s-bit Scabious Succisa pratensis. The flight time is from May to July. I've seen this gorgeous butterfly in a few places in Cornwall: Breney Common, Garrow Tor, Goss Moor, Predannak and Trelusback Farm. For the past few years, me and my husband Rob have been leading a fieldtrip to see this gorgeous butterfly in Breney Common and Garrow Tor.
